Have had ranger in dealer and at first they said nothing wrong with brakes but they finally said it needs an abs module. This due to fact that when you hit brakes sometimes the pedal works correctly but most of time the pedal goes to floor like when abs is working any info where I can buy this module would be appreciated have already spent 1000, and they say module will be 700 plus labor.

Does this happen when you are slowing like at a stop sign or slowing taking a turn? Right when you are about to stop the abs kicks in and then the pedal goes down?

Yes it is exactly as you said. Just before you stop the abs kicks in and pedal goes to floor not all the time about 60% of time. Have had 3 new sensors and had to argue with dealer that brakes were still not right.

Its not a module problem it is a sensor air gap problem from either them not cleaning the surface area properly or the hub bearing is loose. This is very simple to diagnose, it sounds as if your dealing with not qualified mechanics. I know gm has had the same problem but they fixed theyre mistake under a recall. In the morning I will check out at my shop if there was in fact a silent bulletin ford has for this problem and maybe we can get you your money back and have them fix it for free. No guarantees but I will look into it. Either way its a sensor problem not a module. If you dont see a repost by me by 7 am eastern time, remind me.

Thanks for all your help. Look forward to hearing from you. Need to get brakes fixed before winter in ohio. Ford also issued recall for cruise control causiing fires and this dealer said they have ordered part and that it has not come in yet that has been 4 months ago. The dealer is Mt Orab Ford. You have a nice day. Got to get off here and get some sleep 3:30 comes early.

There is no thread of anything from ford on this problem so your on your own. Have you tried a local repair shop? They have the scanner that can check the wheel speed sensors to find out why the abs is coming on. You will probably save yourself alot of money.
