SYMPTOMs - Put in drive, goes thru all gears fine. Stop at light, hit gas, revs go up, no movement, then :BANG and it starts to move slowly. I can start from low gear no problems, throw it into drive & all worksfine, but at stop signs, I have to shift from 1st gear.

OBD FAULT CODE: PO755 - Shift Solenoid B
OBD FAULT CODE: PO705 Transmission Range Sensor Circiut Malfunction (PRNDL INPUT)

I was told OBD FAULT CODE: PO705 Transmission Range Sensor Circiut was not a huge concern; just to turn on Reverse Lights (Thanks, AutoZone).

I purchased Shift Solenoids, New Filter & gasket. Have mechanical ability. Replaced solenoids, filter, re-filled with Mercron V

Worked OK for 5 minutes, now same thing. Same two fault codes show.

Dash gear indicator WAY off, by more than one gear (need to put in close to R to get Drive) I went underneath to adjust shift cable on linkage. Got things closer, works slightly better, but still not acceptable.

Electrical connection looks loose/unsealed. Will it help to take all this apart, clean it, re-install? Can it be dismantled & fixed? I actaually cannot find where to buy one. Could the range sensor have been the problem all along? Again, once it gets to Drive, all is well, it's just getting it there that sucks.

Strong clear suggestions appreciated. Not an ASE tech, but I can rebuild a 350 with my eyes closed. Auto transmissions, however, I believe come from other planets.

Im with you on the trans outlook. That trans range sensor is very important to the operation of the trans. It also need to be properly adjusted to work like it is designed. The range sensor can cause trans failure eventually if not working/adjusted correctly. I haven't heard of one being taken apart and fixed before, but you should be able to get a new one the gear range sensor is on the side of the transmission near the shift cable connection. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
