1999 Ford F150 orange indicator for shift selector is off b

The orange shift arrow that moves from P to R toN toD to etc. is off byone space. When I put it into reverse from park the orange indicator arrow is between the P and the R when I put it into drive the indicator is between the D and the 2.
Is there any way this can be adjusted?

yes there is a little wheel on the adjustment cable just spin it until its right. remove under dash panel and look up, its real easy.
