This is great information but I am not testing the wires. I need to find out what colored wires go where. If you can tell me where to go, my Super Bowl sunday will be saved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much for your efforts. I can not see the diagram very well but I finally found a schematic for a 1999 Ford F-150 and I finally got my lights working good. Except, the treuck will not start now.
I have gone over it for two hours now and here in Tampa, Florida its 45 degrees 1:43 am. I do not know why it wont start because I had it running and everything worked but then when I was putting the shrouds back on the steering columns it wouldn't start now.
The Super Bowl is @ 8 miles from my house and I have tail gatting plans but without my truck???
Please advize....

have you checked the battery for power .. also try reseting the immoboliser .. ? press the lock then unlock button on your fob or lock and unlock the drivers door ?

Thank you for your response but where is the immobilizer, and the FOP. The battery has plenty of power because I had the truck running when I fixed the wire. Please advise...

The truck has been running since the repair ?? .. is the security light flashing on the dash ? the FOB is part of the ignition key that opens the doors ?

Yes the truck has been running since the repair. I turned it off to slide the shroud over the ignition. I am getting dressed to see if the door locks are working. The FOB is it on the key itself or in the ignition???

the FOB is the KEY .. the big black part of the key .. with the buttons on .. if the vehicle is equipped with this ? .. when you try to turn the car over what happens ?? does it just click .. does it crank over ??

My key is a standard regular key with no buttons. The truck will crank but no fire....

check fuses ... check inertia fuel cut off switch .. when you first sit in the vehicle turn the key to the ON position .. ignition lights on not cranking .. do you hear a slight buzz noise inside the vehicle ... try this a couple of times ... .. check you are getting spark ..

When I turn the key to the on position I do not hear a slight buzzing sound. I know thats my fuel pump priming but I check all the fuel pump fuses and starting fuses and they are all good. The truck cranks but it is not getting fuel it seems. The anti theft light on the dash is blinking and after I stop cranking I can hear a shime and the anti theft light stays blinking. Inertia cut off is in the on position down on the passenger side kick panel.

I'm guessing you have disturbed or damaged the PATS module on the steering column ?? diagnosis of the fault will have to be done via diagnostic computer ... take off the steering column cover again and see if you can see anything obvious ?

PATS TRANSCEIVER MODULE
NOTE:If transceiver module is replaced, all existing ignition keys must be reprogrammed. See PROGRAMMING .

Removal & Installation
Disconnect negative battery cable. Transceiver module is located on steering column, attached to ignition lock cylinder housing. Turn ignition switch lock cylinder to RUN position. Push ignition switch lock cylinder release tab with punch while removing ignition switch lock cylinder. Unscrew and remove tilt wheel lever. Remove instrument panel steering column cover to access column shroud screws. Remove 3 screws and remove upper and lower steering column shrouds. Remove PATS transceiver module retaining screw. Disconnect transceiver electrical connector. Locate rib on steering column lock cylinder housing, and gently pry transceiver over rib to remove transceiver (apply pressure or leverage below key cylinder lower rib). To install, reverse removal procedure.

I finaly have got good news. My truck is running and the problem was the key itself. I do not know why or how but after purchasing a brand new key from the dealership and some help from a friend...BINGO!!! I thank you guys and this website for your professionalism and dedication to your word.
