We have a 99 Ford F150, the heater was not working at all, and we found that the heater door was brokein and would not open. Ford wanted $1,500 to fix this, that is almost what we paid for the truck, we found a site that showed us how to get into the duct and manually open the door, we did this, the heat works now BUT, it is not very warm, the engine is warm, heater hoses are hot in and out, I'm almost certain that the outside air intake door is stuck open, so it is mixing outside air. My question is, where is this door, and how can I get to it? My son is alergic to the cold, and this is a very big problem for us.
