My 99 F150 will not go into gear (sometimes) it is not slipping once in gear. I have to turn off the truck put it into gear (goes in easy) and float the gears while driving. Is there a cluctch brake like on big trucks? What can I do to fix what ever the problem is?

When you shut the engine, place it in gear, push the clutch in and start it, is the clutch working?
