I have a blow spark plug, #4 on the passenger side(to the rear of the motor). Need a rough estimate to properly fix, and what steps will I need to make sure are taken to prevent it from happening again?

I hate to say it because I own one too, but this is a somewhat common problem. The threads for the plugs are not long enough and as a result, the plug blows out. It has happened quite often.

To properly fix it, the head will need removed, the stripped threads drilled out, retapped, and a helicoil installed. All of about 5 dollars for the helicoil that actually fixes the problem, but then gaskets need replaced. I would figure you'll have around 500.00 into parts and labor when it's all said and done. Keep in mind I don't know where you live or the average shop rates, so I could be off on price for you.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Joe
PS: There is no recall on this problem.
