1999 Ford F150 Battery problem

Just installed new battery. When truck in drive and sitting at an idle, battery light flickers on dash. When I pull away from idle, such as a stop light, battery light goes out. It does not do this all the time. do I have a bad alternator?

Check the alternator drive belt if okay have the alternator load tested-also check for loose connection on back of it-
