Tires and Wheels problem
1999 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1999 Ford F-150 took it into tire shop for alignment today and they say I have NO sway bar linkage. I need one asap and it's going to cost me $350 but the Auto Zone guy said that is WAY to much to put those things it, cause it's easy and a mechanic buddy of mine says he don't think it's even necessary to have one in my truck. So my question is do I suck it up and pay the money or is it necessary or even better can I do it myself?

that is quite a fee for sway bar linkage.

take it to another place and have it looked at. not all have a way bar on them at all, they might be trying to trick you into buying it.

they are nice to have but for 350 bucks you dont need it if the vehicle is handling just fine for you.
