1998 Ford F150 no rear breaks

I have rear break shoes with no break pressure. system is bleed and pedel is not spungy. front braeks seem fine. how do i know if my problem is the master cylinder or the proportionating valve that is only plumbed to the rear breaks?

You do have fluid coming out of the bleeder in the rear wheel cylinders?

Are the shoes adjusted all the way out so that there is just a very minor feeling of drag?

Is there an abs light on?

Are there codes for the abs system?

Does the parking brake work the rear brakes? Apply them and hold the release off to see if they do anything in the rear.

yes i have fluid at rear wheel cylinders. yes there is a slight drag on the drums. abs light is not on. dont know if there are abs codes. e break cables are froze. I was thinking of bypassing proportionating valve to isolate the problem.

I still wouldn't do that. Fluid is getting there.

Pull off one drum at a time and have someone press the brake pedal lightly as you watch the wheel cylinder either move the shoes (normal) or not move the shoes. If they don't move push one piston of the wheel cylinder at a time in to see if the cylinders are froze like your cables.

i did have a person watch the wheel cylinder and it dose move when tne brake pedal is pushed. one wheel cylinder was replaced because of frozen bleeder.
