The engine is overheating and I can hear water under the dash whats going on here?

Hello,

This indicates the engine has overheated. So first question is the radiator full? You are hearing the water under the dash because that is where the heater core is and there is probably air in the system which tells me that the radiator is low which can be because of a blown head gasket.
