This problem first reared its ugly head in just over a month ago. I pressed on the brake to shift out of park and was unable to do so. Then, the ABS light started flashing. At that time, I replaced the 15A fuse and it fixed the problem.

2 weeks ago, it happened again. Although the brake light bulbs didn't appear to be "bad, " I replaced them anyway. Voila! No more blown fuses!

Tonight, I went and got into the truck, pressed on the brake pedal and the fuse blew.

I have replaced the switch on the brake pedal, but that didn't fix the problem, either.

The issue first started about a week after I pulled a trailer. I have the factory towing package on the truck. I don't know if that is pertinent or not. Thanks in advance!

Inspect and test the trailer wiring connector/harness the brake circuit could be shorting out in there.

Did you hear about the F150's that catch fire and burn up. This sounds like the same thing. Open your hood and inspect the master cylinder. There should be a switch on there and it is probably leaking. Its a pressure switch for the cruise control and for the ABS system. Thats why the ABS light went off. Check that switch and tell me if it's leaking or not. I could be wrong, but... If it is you may want to call your local dealer and find out if the vehicle has a recall for this problem. Ford extended the recall to other vehicles, but I can't remember how long it was good for. If you need any further info, just post here or you can PM me.
