My check battery light has come on, my battert tests at 12.5 when engine is off, but when I start it the voltage goes done to 10 volts. I took the alternator to the shop to bench tested and they said it is fine. Could it be the voltage regulator (the box on the fire wall)

I'm not sure which box you are refering to. Can you take a picture and post it. The main computer should be the voltage regulator. Post the picture and we'll go from there.
