1998 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive

My battery is good and my truck will not start it just makes a single click sound under the hood on the passenger side

Hello,

Ok, if you follow the positive battery cable you will come to what is called a Starter Relay Selenoid. If you find it hard to follow Positive cable it is located on the passenger side firewall, the is most likely a plastic cover protecting it and other electrical components. There are either 3 or 4 terminals. 2 Large and either 1 or 2 small. You can test this by crossing or connecting the 2 large terminals. When doing this make sure the Key is Off or Better put key in your pocket. If engine turns over replace that part. the Echlin part number is ST404.
