Was driving and all my electrical systems went dead. Was able to get home but now every thing is dead

Charge battery and start engine check charging system
check fuses and wiring and alternator plug wire
clean battery terminal and check battery too
suspect bad alternator

Had to get going so i took it to a repair shop and it was the alternator. Thanks
