1997 Ford F150 transfer case

when i tried to put my truck in 4L it would not go and now i have no drive in any gears and when i try to put the truck in park it grinds really bad. and the truck will roll in any gear im thinking the transfer case in stuck in netural? can yaw help me out with this problem

It sounds like you are correct. All of the symptoms sound like the transfercase is in neutral. The most likely problem is the actuator on the transfer case. Check to see if the actuator is getting power when you shift the transfer case.
