1997 Ford F150 dash cluster problem

I have a 97 F-150 4.6 2wd. in for eratic guages in dash cluster. Customer said it had previously been in another shop for over charging and a new generator was installed. Could the over charging "burnt" something in the cluster? Oil pressure reads high then slowly drops to low, alt. guage reads normal or not at all and fuel and coolant read low then high (full pin). If an artificial load is added guages jump around. I have tried a new GEM and fuse block to no avail. Thanks J.

have you rechecked the charging system? a bad ground will also cause overcharging.
