Just had the 4.6L motor replaced in my F-150 about a month ago. Last week I started to notice an anti-freeze smell in the cab. The temp gauge does not show that the truck is overheating, and the heater and A/C unit seem to work fine. I have noticed that after I turn the truck off, there is a coolant leak coming from the back part of the motor and dripping around the area between the motor and the tranny, on the passenger side. I have not had a chance to take the truck back to the mechanic that replaced the motor but was wondering if it could be a loose fitting by the thermostat or to the heater core?? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you

probably a leak from hoses to heater core ... take it back and let him have a look .. keep a check on your coolant levels ?
