1997 Ford F150 Air blows only from the defrost setting

Whether I am running the aircondition or heat, and no matter if I select max air, air condition, vent, defrost, etc the air only comes out of the defrost vent.

In this case, you are looking for a vacuum leak. Check under the dash and the hood. If the engine is running, you may get lucky and hear a hissing from the leak.
