truck tries to shift into 4wd going down the road 4x4 light comes on and i can hear front axle trying to lock in. Truck is manuel 4wd shift in floor but has vacuum front axle 4wd

Its manual level on the floor 4wd level
is it hard to move
make sure its fully engaged or disengaged
