1997 F-150 5.4l V8 engine stop problem

I have a 1997 ford f-150 v8 5.4l 4x4. Last week I was going down the road and my engine went out so I stoped and started it up and it worked fine aftarwards. It happened 2 more times later that week. I'm not sure if it's the fuel filter or not so if you guys can help me out that would be great!


ye I have 168,000 miles, when I bought the truck my check engine light never came on(might be bad bulb). No I have never put engine cleaner in it.

That may be good to check also how many miles? Engine lights? Ever put in engine cleaner with gas? Recently? Need as much info you can give.

check engine light dont even come on it might be a bad bulb. I hope this is all the info u need I will give more thanks for you help.
