I have had to change my starter 5 times within a year. What could be causing them to go out so fast?Starter was purchased at Advanced Auto with a lifetime warranty .

Cheap parts are exactly that........cheap parts. You will be changing that starter for your entire lifetime, that is what they mean by "lifetime" warranty
