I have a 2wd ford f-150. There is a squeaking noise while the clutch is engaged and the throttle is pressed. It stops when I let off the gas. There is also a vibration that starts at about 35 mph. If I let off the gas or push the clutch in the vibration stops. Both the noise and vibration occur only when the clutch is engaged. If it were a bad U-joint wouldn't it vibrate and make noise whether the clutch is engaged or not? Is it more likely a transmission output shaft bearing/bushing?

Hi there,

if this noise is constant with the clutch be pressed i feel it will be a faulty release bearing, try pussing in the clutch slowly and if the noise starts with the clutch pressure coming on, it will be the release bearing.
