Hello Mr. ImpalaSS !
Hope your computer is treating you more kindly today !
Today I put a good computer from a salvage '95 F 150
with same engine & same large transmission, and DRAT,
there was no difference whatever in the symptoms we
have been discussing. I did all of the "below" tests
with this "new" computer installed.
---Should I try a used PCM ?
Today I swapped another relay, in place of the original
relay, for the PCM, [Power Control System]. I did the
"below" tests with this "new" relay in space #1
Today I did these tests that you had asked for with:
Fuse 11 in cab - when I pull it
I turn on headlights-they come on -& the engine dies,
but the headlights stay on. --The engine stays running
3 seconds longer at 6000 rpm
Fuse 11 in cab - when I pull it
I turn on drivers turn signal -signal blinks - engine keeps running
Fuse 11 in cab - when I pull it
I turn on passengers turn signal - signal blinks - engine
keeps running.
Fuse 11 in cab - when I pull it--with parking lights on --
I turn on drivers turn signal - signal blinks - engine
keeps running.
Fuse 11 in cab - when I pull it -- with parking lights on-
and with engine at idle
I turn on passenger signal lights - signal lights blink 2
times - engine dies - passenger signals keep blinking,
and every time they blink, the check engine light also
blinks.
Fuse 11 in cab - when I pull it - or leave it installed
- with parking lights on - with engine at 6000 rpm -
when I turn on passenger signal lights - engine keeps
running, BUT ! -Really surges up & down each time that
the signal light blinks
---It's the same when I'm driving 50 or 60 mph - turn
headlights on - engine dies quick
---Driving 50 or 60 mph - with just parking lights on -
it runs O.K. Until I turn on passengers turn signal lights
on - then it sort of bucks with each blink of the signal
lights - and runs REALLY BAD - but the high rpms
keeps the engine from dieing
With fuses in - or out - engine has a slight miss at idle -
- engine tries to cut off if I try to increase rpm of idle -
--Before the "battery arc" - engine had a strong idle
