The brake light stays on when truck is started, I have disconnected the BOO switch at the pedal and the parking brake and the brake lights stay on. I have recently installed a new transmission. Where do I begin fixing?

Start out by checking the brake fluid level. That light works 3 different ways.

1) parking brake on
2) hydraulic imbalance front to rear (noticeable low pedal)
3) Low brake fluid level
