1994 Ford F150 fuel pump aint working properly

yes, my truck isnt getting fuel pickup. you dont hear the fuel pump start when ever you turn the ignition key over. we hav check the fuses. is there any thing else we can check or do to prevent a trip to the shop. it has a brand new fuel pump in the front tank

hook a wire into the fuel pump slot in the diagnostic connector then ground it out, with the key on does pump run now?

alright the fuel pump does not turn on when you turn the key over. i have checked all the fuses, tried hooking 12volts to the fuel pump slot, and grouned that slot. is there anything else i can do?

single or dual tanks?

have you tryed checking the inertia switch and the relay?

the inertia switch may be faulty although it shows that its unset.
