Transmission problem
1994 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I just purchase a transmissions from a salvage yard for a 1994 ford f150 6 cylinder.
Can I remove the fluid from the torque converter and replace with new before I put it back on the shaft; if so how much oil should I put in it.

You can drain it, but if you turn it on the angle to set it in place, most will leak.

Sorry about that. What I was trying to say is after you refill it, the fluid can leak out if in the wrong position.
