When I put on brakes they grab and make a loud grinding/squealing noise on the front. I have changed the pads and the rotors look ok. Any suggestions?

Hi:
the only thing that would make the noise you described are the brakes or a rusted / bent backing plate. Make sure it isn't being hit by the caliper and being moved into the rotor.

Let me know what you find. (Also, make sure the calipers are tight and not rubbing against the wheel itself. You will se evidence of that on the wheel itself.
