1993 Ford F150 engine

i changed out my engine for a 1993 302 and i have a plug that didnt fit in the 1993 engine that was from the old engine. The plug goes in the back of the engine it has two wires a green and a black. I wanna know what the plug is for and if it has anything to do with the knock sensor. do i need to replace it

I believe it is an oil sending unit. Is the oil pressure gauge working?
