1992 Ford F150 Ticking Noise

I have a 92 f150 with a 5 speed manual. It purrs until I depress the clutch and then I hear a very loud flat, metal on metal ticking sound which is engine rpm relatated. Any idea's on what this could be?

If it only happens when you depress the clutch, my first thought would be to check the pressure plate for damage or wear.
