Last month my curise controll stopped working.
2 days ago my Speedometer and my odometer stopped working. Could this be a bad speed sensor?

Also, do you think I should drive my truck on a 400 mile round trip? Will it stop running?

Please help,

TH

Hello. Thanks for the donation. Much appreciated

Yes this could all be related to the speed sensor. If the vehicle is running OK in all other respects any trip should not cause any other failures. Obviuosly without looking at the vehicle we cannot guarentee this? Hope this helps

SPEEDOMETER (AEROSTAR, BRONCO, ECONOLINE, F-PICKUP)
Speedometer is inoperative; CHECK ENGINE light is illuminated and/or Speed Control is inoperative. The probable cause could be one or more of the following:
No power to Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module
No vehicle speed support
Open ground
Inoperative Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module
If there is no power to Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module, check for voltage at Pins 1 and 3.
If there is no vehicle speed support check for approximately 3.5 volts AC between Pins 4 and 5 of Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module with vehicle speed approximately 30 mph.
If there is an open ground, check for continuity to ground at Pin 2 of Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module.
If Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module inoperative. Check module
