What is the correct plug gap for this truck? The label on the vehicle states 44-46 but the parts clerk says the gap is 54.

If your engine is stock and the the label matches the truck model year and engine, trust the label. If you need more confirmation check your owners manual or repair manual. Most spark plugs come pre-gapped and won't be far off in gap anyway. The clerk may or may not know what he/she is talking about.
