1990 Ford F-150 oil pressure

My truck is a 1990 ford f150 and its got 119000 miles on it. When I stop at a stop light.. The oil pressure will drop all the way down but when I get to about two thousand rpms it levels itself back out.. Ive changed the sindin unit and it still has the problem.. The valves dont rattle and it doesnt leak any oil.. Please let me know what is the matter with it

Hi there,

Have the oil pressure tested with a master gauge, this will give a true indication as to engine oil pressure. You may have a faulty pressure relief valve.
