1990 Ford F-150 Idle speed is not steady

This truck is fuel injected and the the idle speed occilates between about 900-1200rpm when warm. Can you tell me what controls the idle speed and how to fix it.

If the check engine light is on have the computer scanned. If it isn't check the idle air control valve and the trottle position sensor.
