When I first start the truck up, the alternator is not charging. After it has had time to warm up approx. 30 mins, it starts charging, with high peak amps. I have had the alternator checked internally and it is charging properly. I replaced the starter silanoid, wiring plugs on alternator, and the volts regulator. I've even took a alternator thats is working properly off another identical Ford and still am having the same issue. Also bought brand new Interstate battery. This is killing the battery faster than the alternator can recharge it after it starts working. I've checked all the wiring coming of the alternator, and now I'm out of ideas. Any ideas of what the problem could be?

A couple thoughts. We use OEM regulators on these, had too many aftermarket not work. Maybe swap it with the identical ford you swaped the alternater with.

Is there any excessive parasitic draw on the battery? Anything over 30 Ma?
