1988 Ford F150 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

while driving speed started dropping truck would not accelerate then went dead. How do I check to see if fuel pump is working. and is there any reason why a test light would show no power going to the pump on the frame.

You need a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure-no power to fuel pump could be a fuse/fuel pump relay/inertia switch problem.
