1987 Ford F150 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I am getting power to rear sockets but am not getting lights to come on either with headlights reverse or braking. Buzzer for lights when door is open sounds when brake is engaged through brake light switch

Check the ground circuit

Its the black wire on the bulb socket try teeing in the black wire to another good ground point-and see what happens-

Would I do this to the main ground going to the rear since both lights are not working or would one side fault both

Just hook up another wire to the black wire and test it by going straight to battery negative post.
