I replaced the powersteering belt on my 86 F-150 and now I have a horrible squealing that is corrected temporarily when I spray the belt and pulleys with belt dressing. But this lasts less than a day and then it squeals again. The belt is much tighter than it was before I replaced it but the newer belt doesnt seem to have the same grooves as the older style. I threw out the old belt. Is there anything I can do to fix this or should I try to find the old style version of the belt?

If it's a ribbed belt you need it to have the same number of ribs as the pulley.
