Transmission problem
1982 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
OK, I was out working and stopped at a job for an hour. Then I started it up and took off and it was missing like crazy and would not shift while in drive. I could shift down to 1st and 2nd manually but when I tried to cheat it back into drive, the RPM's shot thru the roof and lost all forward thrust. Had to limp it home in second with a trailer hooked up. Got home and found that it was missing cuz a plug wire had popped off the distributor, but when I drove it around the block, it still will not shift out of 1st gear when the selector is in drive. Can u tell me whats goin on here?
