i have a 1979 f150 custom and a had a 300 V6 in it, i put a 302 v8 in it and it lacks about roughly 8 in from the trany but bolts up to the motor mounts the 302 came out of a mid 70's half cab bronco should i change the motor mounts?? or what??

Yes, they are different for a V8 than the inline 6 and should be changed.
