1973 Ford F-100 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic ?? miles

I have a 1948 for with an 1973 ford truck engine in it. I just rebilt the heads on the engine and put it back togather rest the timing on the car and runs good at on idel. When you rev the engine it pop and back fire throw the carb some time, It dos that when you take off and exalrat. I chang plugs wire cap roter. befor I rebilt the heads it ran very good.

If the ignition timing is set properly-check the carb. accelerator pump-when you pull the throttle back while looking into the carb throat you should see the pump squirting fuel not breaking up, also check the distributor vacuum advance if its advancing the timing
