Electrical problem
2007 Ford Explorer Four Wheel Drive Automatic 56000 miles

My alternator is making a rattling noise. There are not lights on my dash indicating it is going bad. Could it be the bearings going out?

It could be a bearing. Make sure the alt is tight on the mounts. Keep in mind, if it is a bearing, it could last a day or years.
