Shakes or Wobbles problem
2006 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Automatic 55,000 miles

I had the cruise control on my Explorer set to 55. All of a sudden the truck started shaking and started losing speed. I turned off the cruise control and gave it some gas. It took a minute before it kicked in to where I could speed back up. The truck continued to shake on and off. I stopped at a stop sign and when I accelerated again the truck acted like it didn't want to go. It started shaking again and I thought it was going to cut off on me. I gave it more gas and about a mile down the road it continued to shake so I pulled over. It was still shaking when sitting in park. I cut the engine off and then started it back up and it was fine the rest of my way home, which was about another 2 hours of driving. What could the problem be? Thanks I really apprecriate it!

Did the check engine light come on? Also, was the fuel filter ever replaced? Have you checked fuel pump pressure?

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. The check engine light never came on. And, no, the fuel filter has never been replaced since I've had the truck. I bought it in August 2007. Not quite sure how to check the fuel pump pressure. It just seems to me that it has something to do with the cruise control.
