2005 Ford Explorer Need Help - Grinding noise

Metal on metal grinding noise while accelerating. Noise starts around 35 mph or faster and lessens when foot is taken off of gas pedal. Seems louder when truck is colder in the morning after starting. Any ideas? No noise when brakes applied. Seems to be coming from the rear.
