Hello, I have a 2005 Ford Explorer that has a slight delay (.5-1.5 seconds) between gears when shifting. It has done this the entire time I have owned it (bought it at 39,000 miles) but does not do it every time I drive it. It also delays 1-3 seconds sometimes when I put it in gear upon start up. Am I looking at a computer problem or transmission problem?

Honestly, with that type of miles, my guess would be sensor. Have you ever had the transmission serviced?
