Transmission problem
2005 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I attached dry weight 2.500 lbs Travel trailer on my SUV first time last Saturday. By the VIN number towing capacity on my SUV is 3.500 lbs.
Next morning I noticed transmision fluid is leaking.
I am not sure if the towing could cause transimiton leaking? Thank you so much and have a nice day.

NO towing should not cause a trans leak it probable just a freak thing that it happened at the same time. Now where is the leak coming from?

SUV is still in the repair shop and they don't know yet where is the leak coming from.

Is there a chance it could have been overfull at all? If it was then when you towed it heated up the fluid a bit more then it usually did and it leaked out the vent.
