Purchased 2004 from dealer in 2005. Transmission would jerk into forward and reverse gears. The longest delay engaging was when placed in Reverse. Dealer claimed they did the "recall" fix procedure and it worked for about a couple of months. Jerking returned since. Dealer claims after the factory recall procedure it would be a "fee based" fix, period. Is there a "self help" procedure to repair this problem. The jerking is getting worst sounds almost like it is going to fall off the Explorer. Suggestions?
