have an 04 Ford Explorer and the rear sensors just stopped working one day...it has a light by the steering wheel that says it's OFF I turned it back ON however it goes back to OFF every time i shift gears to reverse. What do you think is going on and how do I fix it?
Note: It does work if the car is off but the engine switch is on...

Most likely, one of you sensors on the rear bumper has gone bad. I think you can check them by using an Ohm meter, but I'm not sure what to look for.
