I have an engine coolant error code. I have checked the coolant level and replaced the coolant sensor but the code returns within a day of disconnecting the battery to reset the codes. I was wondering where the sensor is that indicates the coolant level and also how to check the sensors with a meter. Am I looking for a short across the contacts or a certain amount of resistance?

To better assist you, the actual code(s) will help. Not showing a level sensor, just ECT(engine coolant temp sensor).
