SUV is making a whining sound whenever I accelerate. Whether I am driving or in Park and reving the engin. Whenever the truck is accelerated it makes a whinging noise. Wondering if it could be the tensioner and Serpentine belt or worst.

Thx in advance

Have you checked the power steering pump fluid? Also, if it is full, remove the belt and start the engine to see if the sound is gone. NOTE: Only allow the engine to run for a few seconds. It will overheat.

Let me know what you find.
